Independence Day of Pakistan

The Independence Day in Pakistan is celebrated on 14th August as fell on pious day of Ramzan in 1948 which otherwise declared on 15th of August by Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder and Governor-General of Pakistan in 1947. Similarly, in India the Independence celebrated on 15th August of every year. As per ‘The Indian Independence Act 1947 Pakistan and India are the two dominions of British India. There is great significance of Independence Day in the life of every Pakistani. The basic aim of Independence Day is to spread the message of patriotism and unity all over the country.

Many young country men wear the dresses of national flag green and white. Peoples visit to different national ancient monuments and historical places of Pakistan. Peoples decorate their homes and offices with national flags of different sizes.

The National flags are unfurled on different Government and private institutions. Special lively lighting is done on different national and private buildings. The Parliament House of Pakistan and other important national buildings are embellished with large, small and large flags and with beautiful vivacious lighting.

The special and exclusive speeches of the Prime minister, Army chief and president of Pakistan are to praise the country and about the importance of Independence Day of Pakistan. A special whole day Independence Day transmissions is telecasted on different Pakistan TV channels. National flag hoisting and military parade ceremonies are attended by thousands of Pakistanis.

The great tribute is also paid to the sacrificed martyrs of the independence movement. The citizens performing something special and unique for the country are awarded on this pious day. The day is also dedicated to the freedom fighters. Different types of activities are performed all over the country to tribute heroes of independence movement.

August 15 is the birthday of the independent and sovereign state of Pakistan. It marks the fulfillment of the destiny of the Muslim nation which made great sacrifices in the past few years to have its homeland“Mohammad Ali Jinnah, first broadcast to nation, 1947”.
