Nepal Yak

Country: Nepal

Home tract: Yak and Nak are raised in trans-himalyan region 3000 meter above sea level, in northern belts of the country. Native belonging to the Bos grunniens species.

Remarks: The breed is found above 3500 metres above mean sea level. They are highly adaptable to high altitudes, low atmospheric pressure and low oxygen content of air. They can also graze on short grass areas grazed by sheep.
