Home Tract: Originated in counties in the south of Mount Miaoling, Guizhou Province

Morphological characters

Body: Large body size and long leg.

Body Plumage: Male: Surface colour in all sections is reddish yellow. Black abdomen feather or wing feather. Tail feather is lustrous greenish black. Female: dark-brown take first place.

Combs: Majority of males have single combs, minority have rose combs. Majority of females have single comb with flat top, minority have rose comb and beard.

Beak: Black

Limbs/Shanks: Black

Feet: Black

Body weight: Birth weight 37 gm, Cock 2.4 kg

Production traits

Egg shell colour: Sandy beige

Annual egg production (numbers): 50-60

Weight of an egg: 47.9 grams

Egg shape index: 1.3

Half evisceration rate: At adult is 83% for male and 79% for female

Evisceration rate: At adult is 70% for male and 66% for female
