Home or breeding tract: The central production region is Xinfeng county in the south of Jiangxi Province, distributing over Nankang, Dayu, Kan, Longnan, Dingnan, Quannan, Anyuan, Chongyi and Yudu county

Morphological characteristics

Body: Relatively short

Body coat: Black or brown coat hairs

Head: Proper sized with flat forehead. The head top of the most of them is slightly drooping form forehead to the occipital so as to shape the “round head top”.

Horns: Long and bending entitled and ret rally

Neck: The neck of bull is shorter than that of female with 1-2 uniform cycles. They appear absurd accordion.

Chest: Deep

Back: Flat broad

Lion: Flat broad

Tail: Crude tail root, tail short of hock

Limbs: Short strong limbs, well-developed muscle tendon

Hooves: Big hard

Morphometric parameters

Body weight: Male 327 kg, female 344 kg

Height at withers: Male 119.1 cm, female 115.9 cm

Reproductive traits

Puberty age: Male 1.5 years, female 1.5 years

Mating age: Male 3-4 years, female 3 years

Breeding span: Male 14 years, female 12-14 years

Female produces 7-8 calves in whole life with maximum of 16 calves.

Production traits

Drought power: Bull 272.5 kg, female 236.8 kg
